New RRI capacities

In JERRI, Fraunhofer and TNO embarked on a joint learning process on building capacity for responsible research and innovation, i.e. for creating impact together with society that is socially desirable, sustainable and ethically acceptable.

The following capacities are now available in Fraunhofer and TNO and have the potential to initiate wider transition towards our long-term visions we had developed in the beginning of the process:

  • Brochure with inspiring stories from gender equality pioneers
  • Guideline for gender sensitive research

  • Fact sheets supporting Open Access in contract negotiations with industry

  • Citizen Cafe format where societal needs can be put forth to science

TNO

  • Female leadership training
  • Database for (female) talent
  • Implicit bias training for senior management & HR
  • Training game for managers and trainees raising ethical awareness and moral capabilities
  • Contribution to Netherlands scientific integrity code
  • Involvement of unusual stakeholders in advisory council
  • Societal and ethical impact canvas for project development
